Dr. Pixie McKenna partners with INNOVO® to help women feel more body confident!
GP & Women's Health Expert Dr. Pixie McKenna, known for her appearance on long running health series Embarrassing Bodies, has teamed up with INNOVO® to break the silence around Urinary Incontinence. 1 in 3 women in the UK suffer from varying degrees of Bladder Weakness every single day, making it more common than hay fever, and this has a big impact on their social lives and holidays plans.
Research reveals that nearly two fifths (37%) of women who suffer from urinary incontinence – whether little leaks of complete loss of control - feel forced to change their holiday plans due to the embarrassment and anxiety it can cause - with 1 in 10 cancelling a holiday completely. With the Christmas season approaching, it's an opportunity for us to tackle these issue head on, and treat the condition, rather than just continue to manage the symptoms.
Dr. Pixie says: “It’s a crying shame that women are sacrificing their well-earned holidays due to feeling insecure and anxious. Holidays should be a source of excitement, not something we dread and would rather avoid. We need to empower women not to just accept this condition and continue wearing pads - there is a safe, effective and non-invasive solution.
“I am working with INNOVO® to encourage women to really self-invest – from the inside out. We want to educate women that by restoring the pelvic floor through Innovotherapy, they will be stronger and regain the confidence they have lost through urinary incontinence”
